What do these views mean?

These views change the wording and examples BirdStory shows. They are not a diagnosis.

Explorer: A broad starting view for recognising patterns without choosing one neurotype.
ADHD: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Includes what some people still call ADD.
Autism: Autism spectrum. This view focuses on autistic patterns, sensory and social processing, predictability, and overwhelm.
AuDHD: A common shorthand for people who are both autistic and ADHD, or who strongly relate to both sets of patterns.
HSP: Highly Sensitive Person. Not a diagnosis, but a useful trait lens for sensitivity, depth of processing, and emotional or environmental intensity.

Pick the view that makes the experiences feel most recognisable.

My 'functioning' is a carefully built stage. You're just seeing the performance, not the exhaustion backstage.

After everything I've done for you.

This phrase makes me feel like a bank account that's always in debt, no matter how much I deposit.

Are you still upset about that?

My body hasn't finished the feeling yet. It moves at its own speed.

Cheer up.

My system is sending a valid signal of distress, not asking for a command to stop.

Did you forget your meds today?

My entire experience is being reduced to a pill I may or may not have taken.

Do you even hear yourself?

It's like my internal language gets garbled in translation, and suddenly I'm the one who's wrong.
